First day of the rest of my life?

Oh, those stubborn 20 pounds.

I have been trying to lose weight and live a healthier life since January 2007. In January, I joined SparkPeople and was able to lose about 10 lbs in 4 months. I just exercised a whole lot and watched what I ate. In May 2007, I joined Weight Watchers. My mom swears by their program and it is SUCH  good program! It really is. It just didn’t work for me. I think it was the pressure of weighing in caused me to act out. I don’t know. I only managed to lose 10 pounds in 13 months! My mom has been on WW since October 2006 and has lost 84 pounds to date. So this program DOES work. Maybe these online weight loss communities help me more. We’ll see.

So I’m trying this again. I started in January 2007 at 150 lbs and I’m now 130 lbs. My lowest weight has been 123 lbs. I was 123 in November 2007 and have spent the last 7 months trying to get back to that with little success. I want to lose weight. I want to be thin. I want to live a healthy, long life. I just have the WORST willpower. It’s bad.

So I’m going to need some buddies to help me! Let me introduce me. My name is Stephany. I’m 20 years old and I’m almost finished with my Bachelor’s degree, which I’m getting in elementary education. In the fall, I will start my student teaching internship. I’ve heard it causes people so much stress and all you do is go home and eat. Yikes! I live with my mom so I have a great support system with that aspect. I love, love, love reading and I also love to write. My dream career would be a romance writer. I’m a big fan of those trashy Harlequin romance novels. Those are the best. Exercise-wise, I hate running and the elliptical. I like to do cardio from the programs on FitTV (they have some really good programs!) and I adore strength-training. I do about 90 minutes of strength training 3x a week. It’s my favorite. I also love sleep. Sleep is my favorite, as well.
